The Manager Profile® gives a useful insight into the manager’s own managerial work and provides powerful support in their development as a manager. The Manager Profile® is primarily used for manager development during both long and short-term programmes.
The managers involved carry out a self-assessment of their own managerial work. This is complemented with assessments from employees, the immediate supervisor and perhaps also colleagues. This means that each manager who participates receives “360° feedback”. From experience we know that a more nuanced image of how someone functions in a managerial position can provide a valuable contribution to that person in developing their leadership.
The results are summarised in a concrete and usable way. Under each main heading, how the manager themselves and external assessors responded is shown, question by question. This means that the spread of perceptions can be seen immediately and patterns can be detected. The summary also contains comments on assessments that we have requested from external assessors. The responses are given anonymously and reported according to applicable anonymity rules.
The instrument is constructed on the basis of around 60 questions dealing with
Organisation
Ability to make decisions and take action
Ability to work with change
Communication skills
Analytical ability
Relation-oriented leadership
Flexibility
Conflict Management
Coaching
Ability to have an impact
Own development
The responses describe both what characterises a certain person as a manager and what they need to develop and improve. The latter is extremely important as it can provide valuable impetus for future development.
