The purpose of the collaboration was primarily to reinforce managers in striving to make the internal organisation function more effectively:
To get the management group to function and take responsibility
To use specific analysis to identify important areas for development
To support the internal service in its efforts to provide even better support to the organisation
The challenge in this assignment consisted of achieving managers/a management group that functioned smoothly in order to drive the organisation and to guide the stated development initiatives towards the set objectives. For the company this meant succeeding in retaining employees, creating more customers and achieving improved collaboration both internally and externally.
THE SOLUTION
The owners’ intentions and objectives for growth guided the work. Kontura interviewed all managers to determine how each of them viewed the assignment and how they perceived the situation. Kontura summarised the analyses and the managers’ work in an comprehensive change overview and development plan that provided an overall image and grasp of what needed to be done. Modifications, divisions of responsibility and schedules supplemented the plan. This part of the work was extremely important in creating ownership of the change among the managers.
This resulted in the management group becoming stronger and an entirely new marketing plan being created through a number of workshops. In addition, an entirely new ownership and management structure was created which could function more effectively.

To capture cultural characteristics requires a working methodology which can reflect both intellectual and emotional structures on a deeper level. When these are made visible they can also be affected. This is the basis upon which we analyse and seek to affect cultures that support the strategic direction of the business. Our culture analysis is based on a new and innovative method for which the inspiration came from our international collaborations.
